Sikorski will attend the gathering in the Swiss mountain resort from Wednesday through Friday.

He is scheduled to take part in debates alongside officials including Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development Secretary-General Mathias Cormann.

The annual forum, being held under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue,” is taking place amid heightened global tensions driven by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, US pressure on Europe over Greenland, unrest in Iran and political developments in Venezuela, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

Sikorski is also due to take part in a panel discussion on “Building Economic Resilience Through Cooperation,” marking the 30th anniversary of Poland’s accession to the OECD.

The discussion will focus on geopolitics and the role of international organisations in a changing global order, according to the Polish foreign ministry.

Sikorski’s Davos agenda also includes debates on international competitiveness, political stability, European security and the challenges facing global cooperation amid shifting domestic policies and public expectations.

He is also expected to hold talks with his counterparts from Argentina and South Africa on cooperation within the G20 group of major economies, according to officials.

The World Economic Forum has brought together global political and business leaders annually in Davos since 1971.
